ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF RECA


Rural Environmental Care Association has the organization structure, consist of Board of Directors, Executive Director, Programmes Director, Financial Director, Programme Coordinators and Accountant. The Board is ultimately responsible for the running of the organization.  The Executive Director has managerial responsibility for the organization and is accountable to the Board of Directors. The Programmes and Financial Directors are accountable to the Executive Director also.The field facilitators are responsible to the programme co-ordinators and accountant subsequently report to the Programmes and Financial Directors. A 7 member Board of Directors govern RECA. RECA has four offices, the Head Office at Tarkwa, sub offices at Wassa Akropong, Enchi in the Western region and Kade in the Eastern Region.

 We have an administrative system, coordinating all the four offices. An Administrator/Accountant, who have three accounts clerks and four secretaries reporting Directly to him. The Administrator/Accountant report directly to the Executive Director. Forty (40) other volunteers work under the field staff members. RECA’s operations are controlled on the basis of an administrative and financial manual prepared and approved by the Board of Directors.

   
 


ORGANIZATIONAL STRENGTH (S) :

  1. Adequate qualified and hardworking staff. Graduates and professionals recruited to work with RECA

  2. Ability of staff members to use community score cards.

  3. Standard office accommodation.

  4. Strong internal control measures (Financial and Management controls.)Financial and Administrative are in place.

  5. Very Low rate of labour turnover. Staff members do not leave the organization frequently.

  6. Working capabilities in building partnership with other organizations, Government agencies and civil society.
